Job title: Operational Accounts Administrator
Reports to: Operational Accounts Supervisor
Department: Accounts
Location: Portsmouth
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, Full Time, 37.5 hours a week.
The Role
Provide support to the Operational Accounts team with ad hoc administrative and financial tasks. Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase invoices. Complete daily tasks related to remittance and sales invoice distribution.
Respond to internal and external queries via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities
· Processing purchase invoices from our providers.
· Sending of sales invoices and payment remittances to our clients/providers.
· Assisting in any adhoc tasks required by Accounts Assistant/Department.
· Deal with any questions / compliance issues that arise.
Required Skills
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C or equivalent) - Essential
Skills
- Computer knowledge to include Outlook, Work and Excel - Essential
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner
- Experience
- At least 1 years' experience in an accounting environment - Desirable
- Characteristics
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical, organised, integrity, flexible, and confidential.
- Be able to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
- Be able to work to deadlines.
