Location: This role will be based in either our Telford or Edinburgh office, however we are open to considering applicants who are Birmingham based. There will be some flexibility to work between the office (the team are in the office 3 days per week) and home. Salary and Benefits: £28,000 - £35,000 (subject to experience) + bonus, excellent pension scheme, private medical insurance, electric vehicle scheme, 38 days holiday incl. Data Management Associate to join the RS&AM COO team. This role would suit those who have a keen interest in data and want to be part of the growing capability in the highly specialised area of Retirement Solutions and Asset Managenment (RS&AM).

Context
To support the Data Management data capability within the RS&AM (Retirement Solutions & Asset Management) COO function. The goal of the Data Management team is to embed ‘data as an asset’ within the culture of the function to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet the overall Asset Management needs and thereby enabling the function to become truly data driven.
The role will focus on the data management capability within our platforms; this includes processing of data, supporting the business data requirements, ensuring that the data required is loaded into this core systems and that effective controls are in place to maintain the data quality.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management
- Maintain and validate static data across core platforms (e.g. BlackRock Aladdin), covering portfolios, private credit, and security master records
- Follow documented processes to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Support data quality reporting and reconciliation across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles
- Create and maintain reference data (e.g. CIC codes, PD credit spreads) not owned by the business
- Manage classification, industry sector, and strategic asset allocation data
- Respond to business data queries and support issue resolution
- Leverage third-party market data sources for updates, validation, and process support
Data Quality
- Maintain daily data quality standards and support governance and MI reporting
- Record and track data issues to ensure transparency and resolution
- Apply second-person verification to uphold data integrity and process compliance
- Contribute to the effective operation of the Data Management function
- Prioritise accuracy, timeliness, and high standards in all data handling
- Support IBOR build-out within the BlackRock Aladdin platform
Stakeholder Management
- Internal - AM Data Management Manager, Business Unit Leaders, Data Leaders, Data Owners and Data Stewards across the business and entities.
- External - Blackrock Aladdin Customer Services
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential)
- Data and analytical skills with strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, coupled with demonstrated stakeholder management experience
- Understanding of Data Management principles within a Financial Services environment
- Ability to follow process and controls with precision and diligence
- Ability to work to tight timescales with competing priorities
Desirable
- Understanding of data management concepts and implementation within a Financial Services setting
- Experience with a variety of investment asset e.g. Funds, Collectives, Fixed Income, Equity
- Interest in Financial Services organisation, preferably Asset Management or Financial Services
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Analytics related field
