We have an exciting opportunity for a
Credit & Country Analyst to join our
Special Risks team at
Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting to the
Department Head of Special Risks, you will play a key role in supporting the development of a market-leading portfolio in Credit and Political Risk. This is a fantastic chance to work at the heart of our underwriting strategy, providing critical analysis and insights that shape business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse corporate, banking, and government financial data to assess creditworthiness and support underwriting decisions.
- Monitor the existing portfolio for signs of concentration and correlation to manage overall exposure.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal credit analysis tools and processes
- Prepare reports, notes, and presentations for opportunities and strategic projects.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating meetings and capturing key outputs.
- Conduct research into relevant topics and their impact across a variety of classes of business.
- Assist with structural optimisation plans and contribute to cross-functional workstreams requiring specialist credit analysis.
- Ensure compliance with PRA & FCA conduct rules and relevant regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong credit analysis skills and experience in financial markets, insurance, rating agencies, or investments.
- Solid understanding of global economics, macroeconomic concepts, and major financial indicators.
- Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work proactively, adapt to evolving risk environments, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ideally, you’ll also bring a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, and professional qualifications such as CFA (or equivalent).
- Experience in designing or building credit analysis tools would be advantageous.
