What can you expect in this role?
- Independent carriage of a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes
- Opportunity to handle interesting and complex files
- Opportunity to provide advice to the Claims department on Accident Benefits litigation strategy and file handling
What do you bring to the role?
- At least 6+ years of litigation experience, especially Accident Benefits litigation
- Strong commitment to coaching and mentoring developing lawyers
- Passion for finding better ways
- Empathy and ability to motivate
- High degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility
- Team player, adaptable to a changing environment
- Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor)
- Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law as a lawyer in Ontario
- This role requires clearance of a background check and disciplinary action check
High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.
Salary Range: $115,200 - $213,800
