Reporting to the Manager, Underwriting & Programs, Commercial Insurance, you will work alongside the underwriting team and will handle client support and general administration duties, while providing quality service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Evaluating and underwriting new business opportunities with a focus on profitability and long-term value.
- Underwriting across multiple lines, including Property & Casualty (P&C), Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O), and Cyber.
- Reviewing submissions to assess risk exposure and identify key underwriting considerations.
- Collaborating closely with underwriting leadership to discuss accounts and suggest improvements to processes, tools, or procedures as needed.
- Leveraging underwriting tools and resources to ensure accurate classifications, rate calculations, and premium assessments.
- Managing renewal underwriting, including client servicing and applying necessary adjustments to maintain account performance.
- Recommending and implementing corrective strategies on underperforming or changing renewal accounts.
- Participating in internal audits and underwriting meetings to maintain best practices and compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of a post-secondary undergraduate degree program (required)
Completion or working towards CIP or other insurance professional qualifications (preferred)
Previous P&C insurance industry experience (preferred)

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
High proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
