RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work independently to underwrite primary, umbrella and excess policies for highly complex risks
- Participate in industry conferences as required
- Review large losses to identify any trends or training issues and provide post loss analysis when requested
- Complete special projects as assigned by the RVP
- Work independently as a member of a team while building a profitable book of business.
- Strong customer-service focus with the ability to effectively multi-task with limited direction.
- Develop strong relationships with brokers in order to successfully manage our business which will require travel to producer location.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities
- Prioritizing work, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of E&S Casualty Underwriting experience required
- Surplus Lines experience is a plus
