JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Compliance Analyst an individual contributor role responsible for supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in maintaining and overseeing the Arch MI Compliance Program. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, performs compliance testing, assists/develops monitoring programs, and provides compliance support to insurance operations.
You will also assist in the management of critical compliance processes, including project management, program documentation, development and implementation of policies and procedures, develops and delivers training, data management, risk assessments, employee and customer communications and provides compliance support to insurance operations. This position will require interaction with all levels within the organization as well and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Implement and administer processes designed to maintain compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations on various compliance matters. Conduct risk-based compliance testing and monitoring of multiple areas of the company’s business. Develop and implement policies and procedures to help address key compliance risk areas; implement/oversee monitoring programs to detect potential instances of non-compliance. Assist with compliance communications to educate employees about key compliance principles and initiatives. Support the management of various Compliance projects and initiatives, including tracking, documentation, and reporting Provide timely support to key business operations on compliance risk matters Perform special projects, as needed, to support Compliance initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills:
Essential skills for success include: Communication (verbal and written), Analytical, Organizational, Compliance Monitoring & Testing and Regulatory Compliance. Able to support, lead and effect transformational change efforts. Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation with a customer service orientation. Able to understand complex regulations and apply that understanding to the business.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in mortgage, insurance, financial institution, or other highly regulated industry with a focus on compliance or 5 years of related experience in mortgage loan underwriting, quality control, internal audit or similar disciplines. Compliance certification preferred.
