Position Summary:
The Senior Claims Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the claims process from initial claim submission to final resolution. The role provides guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate claims handling. They review and process complex insurance claims, investigate claim discrepancies, negotiate settlements with clients or third parties, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Handles the end-to-end process of insurance claims, including receiving claims from policyholders, reviewing claim documentation, verifying coverage, and processing payments.
• Supports claims processing, reviews completed claims for accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures compliance with insurance regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all aspects of claims processing.
• Resolves escalated or complex claims issues, supports decision-making on claims settlements within established authority limits, and recommends solutions for challenging cases.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline claims processing workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Assesses potential risks associated with claims processing activities and implementing measures to mitigate risks and prevent fraud.
• Interacts with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders, provides assistance, answers inquiries, and resolves issues related to claims.
• Maintains and administers accurate records of claims, correspondence, and related documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with internal teams in underwriting, legal, and finance to gather necessary information and resolves complex claims issues.
• Supports claims investigations to determine validity of claims, gathers evidence, interviews relevant parties, and coordinates with external agencies or experts.
Work Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 1-2 years of related experience. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Associate in Claims (AIC), Certified Claims Professional (CCP), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) is preferred.
