Job Summary: The Director, Corporate Accounting will oversee the accounting operations and forecasting of the Corporate segment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing members of corporate accounting team, developing financial models, and providing leadership with financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expense Accruals: Manage and oversee the process of expense accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Lead the Corporate Expense Budgeting Process: Direct the periodic corporate expense forecasting process, providing strategic insights and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Oversee Segment Expense Analysis: Supervise the analysis of expenses across various entities of the segment, providing accurate and insightful analysis.
- Allocations Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of expense allocations to ensure fair and accurate distribution of costs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Compliance with Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Budgeting System Administration and Development: Oversee the administration and development of Anaplan models and applications to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and ensure excellent end user experience.
- Compliance with GAAP and International Accounting Standards: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and international accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Workday and Anaplan.
