The
Eligibility Client Services Specialist delivers exceptional service and support to our Group Benefits division, carrier partners, and clients through a high level of professionalism, accuracy and timeliness. Our Client Support Specialists work closely with our internal teams and carriers in the retention of existing business.
This position requires on the job training that will provide a collaborative and exciting team focused environment. Joining Amwins as a member of the Group Benefits Client Retention Team will offer the opportunity for advancement as the department grows swiftly beyond its initial stages. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This role requires interaction with our carrier partner in processing eligibility changes in a timely manner and with great accuracy. The primary functions include are not limited to the following:
- Membership changes (new hires and terminations)
- Ordering replacement ID cards, obtaining copies of invoices and renewals
- Group changes (address changes, contact changes, waiting period changes)
- Update internal data base with any service issues
- Process requests on existing business including but not limited to membership changes, ordering replacement ID cards, administrative kits, obtaining copies of invoices and renewals and verifying general information
- Interact with carrier partners on all service issues to ensure effective resolution and to exceed broker’s service expectations
- Any Level 1 exception request (issues that don’t require upper management involvement)
- Consistently respond to all clients in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain/update database as it pertains to service specific issues
- Attend all appropriate in-house carrier and corporate training sessions
- All other duties as assigned
As part of continued learning and growth, this position also requires that the member attend all in-house carrier and corporate trainings.

Knowledge/Experience
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Insurance agency experience and customer service experience preferred
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Necessary Skills/Attributes
- Excellent Phone Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
- Comprehensive organizational and time management skills
- Basic Carrier product knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Outlook, Word
- Typing Skills Average 30 wpm as well as 10 Key Stroke
