Job Summary
The Risk & Insurance Analyst position is part of CNA’s Reinsurance and Corporate Insurance groups. The analyst will assist with reinsurance contract documentation and analysis of risk exposure and other data to protect CNA’s interests.
This role offers an opportunity to gain exposure to the unique world of reinsurance and corporate insurance from the perspective of a corporate insured and offers opportunities to interact with a wide range of business areas throughout CNA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reviews reinsurance agreements and other related agreements for completeness at the direction of the reinsurance attorneys.
Creates and analyzes various reports to track reinsurance contracts and assist reinsurance attorneys in ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Communicates with underwriters across various business units and outside brokers to ensure timely completion of contracts.
Assists with maintaining contracts in electronic filing systems.
Assists risk manager in the purchasing of corporate insurance, including gathering and assembling information for the application, analyzing loss data, obtaining quotations, supporting negotiations, and analyzing quotations, binders, and policies.
Administers the post insurance renewal process, which includes processing invoices for premium and brokerage fees; entering policy data into database, budget, and other records; ordering certificates of insurance and auto id cards, when necessary, and general file maintenance.
Reviews various other contracts such as leases and vendor services to confirm compliance with corporate insurance requirements.
Assists with other projects as assigned.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems, including processing systems and applications.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $47,000 to $78,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
