Position Summary
An Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) Structurer is responsible for designing and executing customized financial solutions for insurance clients.
What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities:
Structuring and Execution: Design and implement fixed-income and derivatives strategies to address asset-liability management, capital optimization, risk management, and yield enhancement for insurance companies
Client Engagement: Collaborate with MGU and wholesale broker teams to understand their capital needs, including both property and casualtybrokers/MGUs. Present tailored alternative capital solutions and identify commercial opportunities
Regulatory and Capital Expertise: Stay updated on insurance regulatory developments and assess their market implications. Advise on regulatory capital efficiency
Market Expertise: Maintain strong knowledge of macroeconomic trends and specific ILS products like bonds, structured reinsurance, and collateralized insurance options
Key Requirements:
Experience and Skills: Typically, 5+ years of experience in structuring, trading, or related roles within a reinsurer or MGA platform, with a focus on third party capital for insurance clients. Proficiency in fixed-income instruments, derivatives, and structured products with a re/insurance lens 1.
Industry & Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of global insurance regulations as well as credit for reinsurance under Reg. 114 and other insurance/reinsurance products 1.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in financial modeling and valuation. Critical proficiency in building all manner of cash flows through the lens of sidecars and other collateralized reinsurance1.
Team Formation: Act as a senior member of the ILS team at Ryan Specialty with likelihood of stewardship and managing responsibility of junior team members

The target salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
