Position Summary
The Vice President, Brokerage owns the overall brokerage strategy and policies for all offerings in alignment with business objectives.
The role is accountable for end-to-end renewals, new bids, and complex negotiations, ensuring competitive and profitable delivery and provides leadership support to secure profitable wins for large and complex deals.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Builds cooperative and dependable relationships with independent insurance agencies and brokerages to create business placement opportunities.
• Develops and maintains underwriting and cooperative service relationships with insurance carriers by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of commercial insurance and underwriting guidelines, both in excess and surplus lines and standard markets.
• Recognizes acceptable business opportunities through underwriting pre-qualification process.
• Successfully negotiables market placements of new and renewal business.
• Meets and sustains targeted revenue goals.
• Coordinates resources to accomplish specific account objectives.
• Assumes ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of all account tasks and details on account portfolio.
• Motivates and educates co-workers, blending leadership and technical skills.
• Is knowledgeable of workplace laws and corporate policies and practices; maintains a fair office work environment.
Work Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred.
• 15+ years of work experience in Wholesale Brokerage, Commercial Insurance coverages, Sales or underwriting. 7+ years of management experience is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Licenses & Certifications:
• State P&C and/or surplus line license is required.
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) a plus.

The target salary range for this position is $520,000.00 - $650,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
