JOB DESCRIPTION
The position will be based within the defined geography, preferably near a Chubb Regional or Branch Office. The role will report to the VP, Regional Business Development. Position is preferably based in the in Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, Florida area but other states in the SE will be considered
Job Summary:
- Distribution Leader, AVP Role - Responsible for assigned agencies in addition to accountability for direct report relationship with up to 3 Business Development Mangers objectives.
- Assist RVP in developing and executing Digital and LMM sales strategies.
- Provide onboarding and coaching to Business Development Managers (BDMs) through in-person training. Regular review of production to plan, Scorecard results and overall role responsibilities. Foster a high-performance culture focused on learning, goal achievement, and market share growth.
Major Duties And Responsibilities:
- Ensure BDMs are versed and capable of demonstrating the disciple of the “Intermediate Sales Effectiveness: core tenets of Prepare, Discover, Engage, Advance/Close” in sales planning and behavior, and maximize distribution.
- Share market insights specific to Digital (P&C, Financial Lines and Cyber) production and CI with specific focus on the LMM segment with RVP and Regional/Branch leadership.
- Assist BDMs in creating an annual business plan aligned with CHUBB's regional vision, collaborating closely with underwriting to promote products.
- Support CHUBB's agency management strategies by cultivating key distribution relationships locally and through National Broker/Partner initiatives.
- Maintain ownership of key partners and local agencies and manage regional broker relationships to meet new business goals.
Guide local sales teams in effective distribution management to enhance relationships and achieve objectives.
- Monthly co-travel with BDM reports (virtually and in person)
- Monthly meetings
- Direct reports
- Branch leadership
- Portfolio management
- Underwriting management
- Collection of Branch BDMs’ monthly report’s and consolidate for regional report out.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years underwriting and/or Broker/Agent sales experience; business development experience in commercial lines preferred.
- College degree or equivalent business experience.
- CPCU or CIC recommended
- Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills
- Authoritative knowledge of all Chubb commercial coverages, products, services, and liabilities
- Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter
- Ability to make independent decisions using Chubb best practices for guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of dealing with highly visible and demanding customers
Must be able to effectively work in a team and matrix reporting environment
