About the role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven finance professional to join our finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers exposure across all core areas of finance and accounting within a dynamic, growing business. From financial control and reporting to budgeting, forecasting and audit coordination, you’ll play a pivotal role in our finance team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to deepen their experience across the full spectrum of finance functions and will also have future opportunities for progression and development.
Role responsibilities
- Preparation and review of monthly income reports
- Gathering and reporting information within our group reporting system (OneStream) - FTE, Debtors, main binder income, pending cash, PPO calculation
- Preparation/reconciliation of general ledgers
- Problem solving and process improvement
- Responding to local government statistic department for quarterly/annually reports
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Preparation of financial statements
- Managing year end accounting book closure and liaising with external auditors
- Monitoring and reporting on internal controls
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Preparation of adhoc reports based on management requests
About you
You are a CA or CPA-qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance. You bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive attitude to problem-solving and process improvement.

- Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong understanding of internal controls
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and clearly explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A collaborative approach to leadership, with experience coaching others
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
