HRIS Workstream Lead

As Howden continues to drive towards the 2030 plan of 40,000 employees and £10billion in revenue, it is important to ensure that the group functions are equipped to support such growth. To do this, we are enhancing how we manage our data and group processes and align functions to ensure we have optimised systems offering consistent service to our businesses. With the huge potential Workday offers in accomplishing this, a HRIS Workstream Lead is required to drive the successful delivery of our HCM platform to countries across Europe, LATAM, & India including all Finance and IT integrations. Working with our implementation partner the role will ensure the successful delivery of Workday and associated processes, data and change management.
Key Accountabilities
Acts as the subject matter expert for Workday, supporting teams to understand the Workday design concepts and globally defined configuration.
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders supporting current business capabilities in-scope for migration to Workday
Gather local/legislative requirements and working with the implementation partner to translate those into Workday configuration.
Partner with other functional/technical leads to ensure a cohesive design and that cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated.
Manage and support day to day activity with the HRIS team, managing, upskilling and mentoring them to support their independence in managing their deployments.
Work with the implementation partners to validate configuration and test Workday
Supports the Workday programme lead and manages the execution of the project pipeline
Responsible for approach and consistency across all deployments
Support business users during testing, helping them identify what is a true defect
Support training and engagement to ensure our key stakeholders will be fully utilizing Workday when deployed
Working with other internal resources to develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
Proactively research new functionality/modules and provide recommendations on new features that could be used to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and user experience
Manage stakeholders throughout the implementation and hyper-care phases of deployment
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Excellent knowledge of Workday, covering HCM, Absence, Learning, Recruiting and Payroll
Excellent technical skills across a wide range of technology products
Previous experience in transformation projects and migrating legacy systems onto Workday
An inquisitive and challenging mind, with an interest in questioning and improving the “as is”
Excellent operational skills e.g. processes, procedures, data analysis
Excellent HR experience and knowledge
