About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Relationship Consultant to join us. This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel across Northern Ireland. You will act as the strategic link between our agencies and the IT function. Your focus will be on building strong, trusted relationships with the agency network to meet their business goals by making their IT journey as simple as possible. By developing a deep understanding of business priorities and translating these into IT requirements, you’ll help shape the demand for IT services.
A key part of the role involves advising and influencing stakeholders, ensuring IT investments deliver real business value and meet agreed standards. You’ll also be expected to lead or contribute to short-term projects that fall outside traditional IT infrastructure work. Additionally, you will provide consultancy to IT delivery teams, influencing solution design and setting delivery priorities. Managing expectations and protecting the reputation of the IT function by promoting transparency, accountability, and realistic.
This role requires travel to visit our offices across Northern Ireland. Car allowance will be provided. Therefore, it is essential that you hold a valid driving license.
About you
You are a confident and proactive managing relationships with strong experience in stakeholder engagement. With a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills, you are comfortable working directly with stakeholders, often on-site, to understand and shape business requirements into clear, actionable IT initiatives.
You thrive in a mobile role that involves regular travel and engagement across a wide geographical area. Your ability to influence and collaborate means you’re seen as a trusted advisor. You bring a blend of strong interpersonal skills and technical awareness, enabling you to influence priorities, support decision-making, and ensure business expectations are met.
You’ll also have:
- Possess excellent influencing skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Experience of stakeholder management at all levels including at an exec/ senior level
- Knowledge of Microsoft products
- Good understanding of the agency network and their IT needs (desirable)
