As part of our strategy to drive sustainable growth in Home, we’re looking for a
DevOps Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You’ll play a key role in supporting the new Home Platform, driving automation and CI/CD maturity across cloud-native applications on AWS, while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Who You'll Be Working With
You’ll be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and technically diverse Engineering chapter. We value curiosity, ownership, and transparency. You’ll work closely with Platform Owners, Engineering Leads, and transformation teams to deliver business value at scale.
What Else You'll Be Doing
- Foster an inclusive, positive and supportive workplace culture which drives and maintains high employee engagement.
- Ensuring smooth execution of CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Terraform, and JFrog.
- Oversee infrastructure-as-code deployments across AWS services (EC2, Fargate, EKS, RDS, S3, Glue).
- Optimise platform performance and costs, with regular monitoring and reporting.
- Champion DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, secret management, and compliance automation in coordination with security function.
- Collaborate with engineering leads, architects, testing and delivery managers to align DevOps strategy with business goals.
- Manage platform reliability, observability, and incident response processes.
- Own operational runbooks, on-call rotations, and post-mortem processes.
- Drive adoption of new technologies and patterns through PoCs and technical evaluations.
- Ensure backup standards, tagging compliance, and exception handling across environments.
- Designing, building, owning, and running observability, dashboards, monitoring and alerting tooling such as AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch and PagerDuty.
- Working in an Agile and regulated environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in DevOps leadership roles within agile environments.
- Good understanding of the Home business and its systems preferable.
- Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and services.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub) and scripting (Python, Shell).
- Experience with security tooling (JFrog Advanced Security, SAST, secret scanning).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (AppDynamics, CloudWatch).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage delivery timelines.
