QA Automation Engineer
Classification: Full time, exempt
Reports to: QA Director
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Salary/hourly: 75K-95K
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, with a focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of our insurance platforms. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in our digital transformation efforts, helping to streamline our processes and improve our policy management systems.
Role Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
• Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
• Continuously improve and optimize the automation framework and testing processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA automation.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Skilled in programming with C#.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or TestNG.
• Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as LoadView or LoadRunner.
• Ability to work in a hybrid in-office and remote environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
