Position Summary
The Data Steward is responsible for managing our data requirements, activities, and priorities partnering with IT and business stakeholders to continuously improve our data environment and enable our analytical resources.
As we move to an EDH and a new PAS platform, we need a leader that can help facilitate the migration of our fragmented legacy data and analytics to the new environment. In addition, as we acquire businesses, this person will be responsible for overseeing the integration of that data into our environment.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in the creation of data governance policies and processes that ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Works with business users to define and maintain reference data models, performs data mapping, data lineage, and maintains data dictionary.
- Partners with analytical teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manages overall workplan for moving historical data to the EDH and building reports in the new environment
- Drives the implementation of tools in the new environment with a goal of decommissioning the old environment
- Leads data integration efforts of acquired businesses
- Collaborates with Carrier partners on bordereaux and special data projects
- Works with the EDH team to communicate requirements and data lineage to enable their build of the EDH
- Evaluates emerging technologies and trends in data management to recommend innovative solutions that enhance the firm's competitiveness and efficiency.
- Work Experience and Education:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience P&C Insurance data management/architecture with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Prescribed: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Preferred: Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

The target salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
