Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join Berxi as a Data Engineering Intern. This 12-week paid internship offers a deep dive into the world of small business insurance and the data environment behind our robust platform.
You Will
- Learn how to work with larger datasets, data pipelines and cloud technologies.
- Gain exposure to the insurance lifecycle and the broader commercial casualty market.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data product owners, and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Help manage data storage and processing on cloud platforms.
- Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.
You will be part of a dynamic and supportive data engineering team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Your work will directly contribute to protecting our clients’ assets and ensuring the profitability of our portfolio.

Qualifications

- Familiarity with SQL and programming languages

The base salary range for this position in Boston is from $25/hour - $29/hour; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
