Position Summary:
The Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing insurance claims to ensure accurate and timely resolution. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including insurance companies, clients, and healthcare providers, to facilitate the claims process. The Claims Coordinator must have a strong understanding of insurance policies, claims handling procedures, and regulatory compliance.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and process insurance claims. This includes receiving the claim, verifying the policy details, and initiating the claims process. It also involves reviewing the claim for completeness and accuracy.
• Establish and maintain communication with the insurance adjusters to expedite the claims process. This includes submitting necessary documentation and negotiating settlements on behalf of the client.
• Keep the clients informed about the status of their claims. This involves explaining the claims process, answering their queries, and providing regular updates.
• Verify the services provided and the charges applied. This includes resolving any billing discrepancies and ensuring that the services are covered under the client’s policy.
• Understand the terms and conditions of the insurance policies to determine the coverage. This involves interpreting complex policy language and applying it to the claim.
• Keep a detailed record of all claims, including the date of loss, type of loss, damages, and settlement details. This is crucial for audit purposes and future reference.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies during the claims process. This includes maintaining client confidentiality and following ethical practices.
• Analyze the claims data to identify trends and patterns. Report these findings to the management for strategic decision-making.
• Train other team members on the claims process and procedures. Provide support and guidance as needed.
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors. Provide necessary documentation and explain the claims handling process.
Work Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 6 months of related experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Certified Claims Professional (CCP) or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) is preferred.
