Role purpose:
- To support the Underwriting division through defined responsibilities, providing support within Underwriting Controls and utilise the Underwriting Authority granted, within the set parameters, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Company standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for aggregate monitoring data Slip Pre bind quality checks Responsibility for Premium monitoring and related queries Manage power BI reporting on performance management and act as Power BI champion for the team Upload exposure data onto Sequal for accumulation monitoring Collate and monitor reinsurance data Bordereaux monitoring (missing BDX) Filing – ensure files are complete and accurate. Oversee accuracy of data entry on system. Assist with compliance queries on renewals and new business. Assist with delegated underwriting queries on renewal and new business. Maintain and present the following reporting - Risk log, renewal reports, top 10 individual exposures, top 10 Group/event exposures, peer review outstanding, top debtors (+/-), decline reports.
- Wording database management Manage PPL – Pull declarations, endorsements, slips and any leader only agreements to ensure files complete.

- Operate within the Company’s standards for Treating Customers Fairly.
- Manage any potential conflicts of interest to avoid disrepute to the company’s integrity.
- Advise Compliance of any complaints immediately.
Experience:
This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who has 1 – 2 years’ experience in General Insurance or the London Market and is looking to attain CII qualifications, or a recent graduate / well-qualified school/college leaver. We are looking for a candidate who is highly numerate and demonstrates a passion for developing their knowledge of this technical class. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build good relationships with brokers and excellent numerical, IT and analytical skills. They should also demonstrate a high attention to detail.
