Position Summary
The Catastrophe Risk Analyst is responsible for assessing the risk and potential damage caused by natural and man-made disasters. Utilizing statistical models, historical data, and predictive analytics, they help insurance companies, governments, and businesses understand the financial impact of catastrophic events and develop strategies to mitigate losses.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluate complex datasets to identify patterns and trends associated with catastrophe risks.
• Generate detailed reports that communicate risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Develop and refine catastrophe models to estimate potential losses from various disaster scenarios.
• Work closely with underwriters and actuaries to integrate risk analysis into policy pricing and portfolio management.
• Stay ahead of the latest developments in climate science, construction technology, and regulatory changes that may affect risk profiles.
• Assist in the creation of risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact.
• Technology Implementation: Utilize advanced software and technologies to improve the accuracy of risk predictions.
• Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for catastrophic events.
Work Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or similar
Software Applications:
· Microsoft Office Suite (required)

The target salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $62,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
