We are looking for someone to confidently lead the Workplace Relationship Management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving our client retention and growth strategy and maintaining our strong market presence, whilst support new business activity.
What are we looking for?
- Can self-manage and self-motivate with an ability to work with no supervision, also encouraging this of own team.
- Has a proven track record with delivering on targets and business objectives.
- Will establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the wider business to ensure we meet or exceed client expectations.
- Has the ability to lead a team virtually with disparate colleagues.
- Can balance and manage conflicting and varying demands, often under pressure.
- Will confidently represent Standard Life externally at key meetings and at client pitches for new business and retention of existing clients.
Some Key Responsibilities Are
- Leading, engaging, developing and motivating the Relationship Management team to deliver on challenging targets and key business objectives.
- Responsible for managing the relationship with key clients and Trustees, developing a pipeline of growth opportunities and maximising retention of our Workplace clients.
- Building relationships with key external stakeholders including clients, advisers and Trustees to ensure provision of service meets/exceeds expectation and evolve our offering accordingly.
- Be commercially responsible for developing and growing effective and sustainable partnerships with key influencers and decision makers within aligned existing client companies.
- Build a market presence through lead visibility at key industry events (i.e. PLSA, Corporate Adviser Summit) and SL hosted events (i.e. Client Council)

Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR)
Role
This role is covered by the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) as a certified role. Therefore this role is subject to annual certification by Phoenix Group, as well as regulatory compliance standards. Anybody performing this role will be subject to:
- PRA Individual Conduct Standards
- FCA Senior Individual Conduct Rules
