The Role
The Business Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing timely and effective support across business systems, with a focus on managing helpdesk queries, resolving technical issues, and improving operational efficiency.
The role involves supporting Acturis users, investigating system problems, maintaining configuration records, and assisting with user acceptance testing. The analyst will also contribute to projects, support training efforts, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responds appropriately to urgent issues as they arise.
Delivers personal performance that contributes to the Operating Entity's objectives.
Manages assigned projects and contributes to additional projects as needed.
Provides relevant management information to senior leaders.
Evaluates existing business processes and seeks opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Assists in mentoring fellow colleagues.
Manages helpdesk calls, ensuring support items are logged and resolved in a timely, priority-based manner.
Investigates and debugs issues reported by the business, identifying code-related problems.
Manages and coordinates helpdesk inquiries with vendors until resolution is achieved.
Keeps users updated throughout the duration of their queries.
Escalates queries and issues to the line manager or second-line colleagues, as appropriate.
Maintains accurate system configuration records in line with changes made.
Evaluates the impact of upgrades on users and agrees on activation tactics with the Applications Manager.
Creates and processes test scripts to support UAT testing for new features or documents.
Shares knowledge on best practice tips and hints with super users.

Acturis Support crucial
Background in a related support or systems administration role is a must
Ideally a previous background in Insurance / finance industry.
Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements within the world of insurance
Superb communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to translate technical requirements to the business.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Strong negotiation skills
Confident taking care of varying levels of team members
Excellent skills in MS Office Products
Help develop other Team members.
