Job Type: Fixed Term Contract- 6 months
Location: This Role could be based in our Edinburgh, Telford, Birmingham or London offices with UK wide travel with time spent working in the office and at home.

Salary and benefits: £65,000 - £85,000 plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role
The Agile Delivery Lead is a fusion of proxy-product owner, scrum master, agile coach supporting the team and the Product Owner, driving constant communication and rapid problem solving to deliver a great product and experience. It’s their role to teach the team all ways of agile software practices, lead and/or facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove blockers to team progress and shield them from external distractions – often in tandem with a Navigator in complex or largely waterfall organizations.
The Agile Delivery Lead brings the Product Owner and Team together, helping them to understand each other and are personal coaches for team members and innovators who constantly seek ways to improve both themselves and the team.
Responsibilities
The Agile Delivery Lead is a fusion of proxy-product owner, scrum master, agile coach supporting the team and the Product Owner, driving constant communication and rapid problem solving to deliver a great product and experience. The key responsibilities of the Agile Delivery Lead are to:
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Scrum & Agile practices and methodologies.
- Oversee Scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation.
- Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement.
- Remove impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistical challenges) and shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
- Foster close cooperation, self-organization and growth within the team, carefully managing key dependencies.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.
- Generate agile mindset in staff and teams through conversations, coaching, and role-playing exercises.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team driving full transparency.
- Support the Product Owner on release planning.
What are we looking for?
- Knowledge of relevant domains/products/journeys.
- Able to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team.
- Experience in Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), with specific scrum master (or similar) experience preferred.
- Ability to coach team on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology to deliver maximum business value on time and maximize the team’s potential.
- Assertive, with confidence to be voice of authority – not afraid to do what is best for the team.
