We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Level 1 Claims Manager to lead a team of claims professionals responsible for timely investigation, coverage analysis, liability assessment, and claim resolution. This leader will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure quality and compliance, support adjuster development, and help drive a positive customer experience.
The Level 1 Claims Manager is responsible for supervising a team of claim representatives who investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto and/or casualty claims. This role ensures the team delivers timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim handling while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The manager oversees workflow distribution, quality control, employee development, risk escalation, and operational performance.

This is an in
office position with the option for a
hybrid schedule once training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily claim assignments and ensure timely first contact with all relevant parties.
- Monitor investigations, coverage analyses, and liability decisions for accuracy and completeness.
- Review claim documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coach and develop team members to strengthen investigation quality, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Maintain oversight of reserves throughout the life of the claim; ensure appropriate adjustments are made.
- Ensure timely escalation of potential fraud, severity concerns, recovery opportunities, or complex issues.
- Collaborate with material damage units, injury adjusters, and internal partners to support smooth claim handling.
- Track and report team performance metrics, including timeliness, cycle time, reserve adequacy, quality results, and customer satisfaction.
- Support escalated customer or stakeholder concerns, providing clear explanations of decisions.
- Promote a positive, high-performing team culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of management in auto, property, casualty, or general liability claims handling
- Must have Florida adjusters license prior to start date
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
- Bachelors degree or above preferred
- Strong understanding of claim investigations, coverage evaluation, liability assessment, and resolution tactics
- Ability to make sound decisions and guide team members through complex or sensitive claims
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.
