Role:
The core of the role is owning the design of application-level solutions, translating business requirements into concrete, implementable architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on enterprise-scale programmes focused on digital and cloud transformation and including greenfield development, applications re-engineering and integration.
- Document existing and proposed architecture for various transformation projects.
- Liaise effectively with global, diverse, cross-functional teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience operating as a Solution Architect with hands-on responsibility for application-level solution design, including system boundaries, integrations, and architectural decision-making
- Strong understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies, and approaches.
- Previous exposure to azure cloud technologies - IAAS, PAAS, SAAS.
- Experience applying architectural patterns and modelling approaches appropriately, with the ability to explain design choices and trade-offs. Any exposure to ArchiMate and BizzDesign advantageous.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of technical architecture roles across all phases of the development life cycle.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, client facing and communications skills.
- Strong ability to clearly and concisely explain architectural decisions and reasoning to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead and own solution architecture decisions, balancing trade-offs across cost, complexity, risk, and delivery constraints.
- Track record of design and delivery of large-scale, complex integrated IT solutions.
- Where relevant, experience incorporating AI or data-driven components into solution architectures, with appropriate consideration for governance and risk
