The Director of Operations supports strategic operations efforts in alignment with the Louisiana leadership team. This role will take accountability for branch financial results, developing budget and non-sales strategic plans on behalf or in partnership with the branch manager. Responsible for merger & acquisition onboarding to support the integration of new merger partners into the organization.
Relationships and Organizational Leadership
- Responsible for the execution of divisional, regional, practice and branch projects
- Support the development of branch strategy, goals, performance, and value proposition, including dominant priorities
- Manage internal communication and change management of the branch strategy, goals, performance and value proposition
Professional Standards
- Responsible for the coordination of local office audits, e.g. corporate, divisional, third party
- Will support E&O Tracking and Reporting
- Oversee the collection of local carrier supplemental compensation arrangement for Revenue Disclosures
Budget & Finance
- Coordinate with GBS Finance and Area Presidents to create annual revenue and related client expense budget, update annual revenue forecasts and monitor annual operating expense forecasts
- Coordinate with GBS Finance and Area Presidents to approve branch expenses, including T&E, vendor payables, etc.
- Coordinate with GBS Finance and Area Presidents to research/resolve outstanding aged receivables
- Coordinate with Branch Managers on timely submission of locally received commission checks and statements to Finance
- Coordinate with GBS Finance, Area Presidents and Producers to monitor monthly commissions and follow up on missing commissions with account teams and/or carriers
Human Resources
- Onboard (mentor and train) new Operations team members
- Complete forms such as staffing requisitions, online terminations, Benefits Upon Termination letters
- Support Human Capital Workforce Planning for Operations roles
- Provide administrative support for Corporate/Divisional training held locally (CSS, Leadership Essentials)
Mergers and Acquisitions
- Suppor Merger Due Diligence and post integration triage with merger partners to resolve issues, work through earn-out issues, etc.
- Prepare due diligence report incorporating compliance and technology findings (Regional Ops)
Sales / Client Relationships
- Work with Sales and Client Service leaders within the branch to plan and execute on initiatives intended to yield positive results in those areas
Required: Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience required.
Preferred:
- Strong multi-level relationship building skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work towards team and individual goals
- Prior employee benefits brokerage experience preferred

- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving capabilities
- Must be independent, self−motivated, and goal and people−oriented
