Summary:
The Security Technology Consultant provides enterprise-wide leadership and oversight for all physical security technologies across CNA’s global offices. This role is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of all security technology solutions, including access control, video surveillance, visitor management, and related systems. The position partners closely with Corporate Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Information Security on existing deployments, new office builds and renovations to ensure alignment with security standards and technological best practices. This role also maintains continuous situational awareness of system health and advances CNA’s technology posture by evaluating industry trends, emerging risks, and innovative solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide global oversight of CNA’s physical security technology ecosystem, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor and maintain the health of all security equipment and platforms, proactively identifying and resolving system issues.
• Partner with Corporate Real Estate, Information Security and Infrastructure to design and implement security technology standards for new offices, renovations, and space reconfigurations.
• Lead enterprise-wide security technology projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget alignment, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and industry advancements to enhance CNA’s physical security resilience.
• Establish and enforce technical standards, policies, and procedures for system configuration, installation, and maintenance.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and integrators, ensuring adherence to Master Service Level Agreements and performance expectations.
• Maintain global inventory, refresh schedules, and lifecycle plans for all security technologies.
• Conduct reviews and audits to ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements, regulatory expectations, and corporate risk management standards.
• Provide training and technical guidance to Global Security & Safety team members to ensure strong operational capability.
• Develop and deliver reporting, dashboards, and system performance analytics for leadership.
• Partner closely with InfoSec to ensure physical security technologies align with enterprise cybersecurity standards and architecture and assist in the investigation and response to converged physical‑cyber incidents (e.g., compromised cameras, badge misuse, insider threat scenarios)
Required Qualifications:
• Typically a minimum of seven years related work experience with five years of experience designing, managing, or supporting enterprise physical security systems.
• Experience leading global or multi-site security technology projects.
• Working hands on knowledge of core physical security systems including Access controls systems (i.e. Lenel, CCure, etc), Video management systems and CCTV platforms, Intrusion Detection and Alarm monitoring systems and visitor management system.
• Strong technical acumen Microsoft Active Directory, Networks and ability to interpret system diagrams, specifications, and integration requirements.
• Excellent communication, project management, and vendor management skills to align technical controls with real‑world security operations. Comfortable acting as a bridge between physical security, InfoSec, and Infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on knowledge of:
– Linnel Access Control
– Milestone Video Management Systems
– PassagePoint Visitor Management
• Experience supporting security technology architecture within a corporate or global environment.
• Certification(s) in PSP, CPP, or relevant technology platforms preferred.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $72,000 to $141,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
