AXIS is seeking a legal assistant to provide operational, governance, and administrative support to the Legal/Compliance Department. Reporting directly to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, this dual‑focused role supports Board operations and delivers high‑quality administrative and legal assistance across the department. Responsibilities include preparing Board materials, maintaining governance records, managing Board communications, and providing day‑to‑day support to the Legal/Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated administrative professional or recent college graduate seeking exposure to the legal and compliance fields within a dynamic global team.
What will you do in this role?
Provide dedicated support and high‑quality service to the General Counsel, including coordination, document support, and priority task management.
Prepare, format, proofread, redline, track, and maintain legal agreements, spreadsheets, memoranda, correspondence, meeting minutes, written resolutions, Board and Committee materials, and corporate transactional documents, including SEC‑related filings.
Support the corporate secretarial function by compiling and distributing Board and Committee materials through the Diligent board portal and maintain corporate minute books in electronic form.
Manage Board schedules, planning calendars, attendance reports, and material due‑date tracking to ensure timely deliverables; support director onboarding and maintain related resource materials.
Coordinate with Board members and senior management, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Provide general administrative support, including expense reports, invoice processing, staff calendar management, internal and external meeting scheduling, and travel arrangements.
Monitor third‑party use of AXIS trademarks, prepare license agreements and cease‑and‑desist letters, and assist with related trademark documentation.
Maintain and update SharePoint databases, organize department files, and oversee internal resources such as team sites and organizational charts.
Document existing operations and processes and recommend improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
Complete special projects on various subjects as assigned by members of the legal leadership team, including team and offsite event planning.

What we offer:
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $62,500.00 to $104,000.00. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
