About the roleWorking within our Head Office Underwriting division, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our Personal Lines strategy, ensuring we achieve our growth plans and continually monitor our account to make sure our profitability targets are met. You will also make sure our products continue to be market leading and continually review our risk appetite, to reflect our longer-term plans. You will also manage a team of technical underwriters, ensuring they are motivated, developed and supported to complete their work to a high standard. You’ll lead on our risk appetite strategy, working closely with both our Regional Underwriting and Pricing teams to ensure that our underwriting strategy is clear and understood. Your expertise will also ensure our insurance coverages meet both regulatory standards and the needs of our members, while your insight into market trends and competitor activity will help us stay ahead in a dynamic environment. You’ll oversee the development of underwriting capabilities across the business, contribute to technical learning and development, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
