Join our team! Successful and leading title insurance agency seeks a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Escrow Officer with a positive attitude to be a part of our team. Attention to detail, great communication skills (verbal & written) great organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
· Interact and coordinate with industry contacts such as realtors, loan officers, underwriters, brokers, buyers, and sellers and other involved parties to facilitate proper pre and post-closing procedures.
· Review title commitment, lender instructions, purchase and sale agreements to be sure the duties and responsibilities are clear to facilitate closing
· Comply with all state and federal laws governing escrow transactions and escrow accounts
· Monitor progress in compliance with all terms and conditions of purchase contracts
· Coordinate the issuance of title policies with title examiner
· Assemble and deliver closing statements to buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, and lenders
· Disburse escrow funds accurately and complete administrative tasks such as reporting
· Review closing instructions to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing and funding.
· Accurately disburse funds and ensure recording of necessary documents in a timely manner.
· Working closely with clients to accomplish a closed transaction in a timely, efficient and error-free manner.
· Complete Residential Real Estate transactions from start to close; curative work, assemble, prepare and review closing documents; disburse funds; record documents.
· Ability to perform all tasks and functions of the Escrow Receptionist and Assistant Escrow Officer.
· Ability to complete routine residential resale, refinance, or builder escrow transactions.
· Ability to deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements and balance all escrow related accounts.
· Prepare CD/HUD1 Settlement Statement and all other closing documents necessary for the transaction.
· Obtain clearance and approval from lenders.
· Order updates from the underwriter and determine clearance to close.
· Use problem solving skills to create solutions for client
Requirements:
· 7+ years of escrow experience
· Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law a plus
· Must be licensed as an Escrow Officer.
· Knowledge of SoftPro Select a plus
· Great time management skills
· Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work in both team oriented and self-directed environments.
· Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
· High level of accountability
· Customer service oriented
· Creative problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
