We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Litigation Associate (2–4 years of call) to join our Vancouver team. Responsibilities
- Supporting and progressively managing litigated insurance defence files through all stages of litigation, with increasing autonomy under the guidance and mentorship of senior counsel
- Assisting with and, as experience permits, conducting examinations for discovery, mediations, and chambers applications
- Contributing to the strategic management of complex and high‑profile matters
- Maintaining strong client service standards, including timely reporting and file management
- Meeting billable and non‑billable expectations within a busy, team‑oriented defence practice
- Participating in professional development and business development activities consistent with practice growth
What will help you succeed in this role?
The successful candidate will have:
- 2–4 years of post‑call civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defence
- Familiarity with the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules and litigation procedures
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, combined with sound professional judgment
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and a practical, service‑oriented approach
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team‑based insurance defence environment.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $128,000 - $160,000 annually. The salary offered is based on year of call.
