Position Summary
The Broker Support Intern provides administrative, analytical, and operational support to the brokerage team, helping ensure smooth client service delivery and internal processing. This internship offers hands-on exposure to brokerage operations, client servicing, and industry tools while developing professional skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving. The intern will work closely with brokers and support staff, gaining practical experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Position Overview
The Broker Support Intern assists broker teams with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks that support client accounts and business development efforts. This role is designed for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in brokerage, insurance, finance, or related professional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to brokers and account teams
- Assist with preparing client materials, presentations, quotes, proposals, and policy documentation
- Help maintain accurate client records, databases, and internal tracking systems
- Coordinate documentation, schedules, and follow-ups related to client requests
- Support reporting, data entry, and basic analysis as needed
- Assist with internal projects, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc tasks
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, external partners
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, confidentiality standards, and regulatory guidelines
Learning Opportunities

Qualifications
- Must be a part of USC’s Emerging Leaders Program
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business, finance, economics, or a related field
- Preferred graduation dates: Dec 2026, May 2027, or Dec 2027
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Interest in brokerage, insurance, financial services, or professional services
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving mindset

The target hourly rate range for this position is - per hour.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
