Position Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical server systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for the company. The role performs routine maintenance tasks and ensures system support, maintenance, administration, and process improvement for operating environment components such as databases, operating systems, network interfaces, storage systems, servers, and associated hardware. They administer user accounts for secure system access, implement monitoring tools, and proactively research and implement enhancements for improved system performance and security.

Job Responsibilities:
• Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server systems crucial to the company’s operations.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks and ensures system support, maintenance, administration, and process improvement for operating environment components such as databases, operating systems, network interfaces, storage systems, servers, and associated hardware.
• Administers user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure secure and compliant access to company’s systems.
• Implements and maintains monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance of company’s systems, promptly addressing any issues that may arise.
• Researches, recommends and/or implements system enhancements that will improve the server, operating software and application reliability, security, and performance.
• Manages the patches and updates of application and operating systems and software, ensuring that systems remain secure and up to date.
• Manages and troubleshoots network connectivity issues, ensuring seamless communication between systems and users.
• Ensures that all systems adhere to industry regulations and best practices, implementing security measures to protect sensitive insurance data.
• Maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure compliance with insurance industry standards.
• Works collaboratively with other IT teams, such as database administrators and application developers, to ensure the seamless integration of systems supporting company’s operations.
Work Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Software Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
• 2+ years of experience in System or Application Administration or a related field is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is plus.

The target salary range for this position is $64,750.00 - $65,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
