Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a
Supervisor for Field Operations to join our edjuster team in
Ontario, Canada. This is a field role, offering a combination of work from home and travel within the specified region.
Responsibilities
- Support the management team and employees to ensure consistent completion of all claims in accordance with the Company’s productivity and performance standards.
- Assist Content Claims Specialists - Field in conducting and managing the inventory of complex claims (Public Adjuster, High Net Worth, Attorney Represented, Commercial) and organize resources to complete the inventory and subsequent valuation. When necessary, the Team Lead may be required to manage part of the complex claim, to mentor Level II CCS
- Provide mentoring and guidance to team members while conducting inventory and/or valuation on Level I to Level III type claims, as required. Be available to answer questions and provide suggestions on handling that adheres to performance standards.
- Complete/submit detailed work/time logs on a daily basis, for all claim-related and non claim related work.
- Maintain claim-related notes in exclaim, edjuster’s content clams platform, relating to claims handling tasks, included but not limited to providing information on incurred hours that exceed productivity standards, specific issues related to a claim, other pertinent notes when assisting or managing a claim; directly or indirectly.
- Consistently promote edjuster’s brand, image and reputation in a professional, consistent and positive manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance claims industry, specifically with property and/or content claims, or 3 years in an edjuster role.
- Ability to manage claims independently without supervision.
- Be able to provide an adequate workspace, free of noise.
- Employee must provide their own high speed internet service.
- Company equipment including laptop will be provided. It is the employee’s responsibility to care for and maintain the equipment.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Criminal check required.
- Overnight travel required - Currently, overnight travel (out of region) is a regular occurrence. All extended travel costs (flights, rental cars, hotels, meals) will be handled by use of a corporate credit card.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively lead, train and develop employees.
- Thorough knowledge of services being delivered by edjuster.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance coverages, policies and practices.
- Computer and technical skills.
