As a Client Manager, you will play a key role in managing broker and client relationships while supporting the growth and retention of a block of business. This role blends operational execution with strategic consulting, including plan recommendations, carrier negotiations, and hands-on service support.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Market Directors and Consultants to support block growth, retention, and business development strategies.
- Client & Broker Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for brokers and clients, managing relationships and delivering high-touch service.
- RFP & Marketing: Coordinate RFP processes including data gathering, carrier outreach, and marketing analysis development.
- Plan Consulting & Renewals: Support plan design recommendations and negotiate renewal terms directly with carriers.
- Implementation Oversight: Manage new business implementation through first invoice, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Service & Issue Resolution: Handle escalated service issues including billing, claims, and eligibility with urgency and professionalism.
- Communication Liaison: Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, carriers, brokers, and clients.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to internal processes and industry regulations.
- Relationship Development: Build strong internal and external partnerships to support long-term success.
- Workload Management: Effectively prioritize competing demands across new business, renewals, and service work.
Qualifications:
- Work Experience: 2–5+ years in employee benefits, insurance, or account management.
- License: Life & Health Insurance License required or ability to obtain.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attributes: Self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to work independently.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
- Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workflows.
