This role is market-facing responsible for shaping and executing CRC Group’s carrier strategy across its wholesale insurance platforms. The Carrier Distribution Manager partners closely with executive leadership, carrier partners, and field leadership to drive profitable growth through data-informed decision-making, disciplined execution, and strong carrier alignment. This role serves as a strategic advisor and operator—translating market intelligence and performance data into actionable strategies that optimize distribution, enhance carrier partnerships, and accelerate organic growth. The position requires regular travel to carrier partners and regional offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of CRC Group’s carrier strategy with assigned relationships in alignment with enterprise growth priorities
- Serve as a senior point of engagement with key carrier partners to drive alignment on appetite, capacity deployment, portfolio strategy, and growth targets
- Partner with executive, segment, and regional leadership to align carrier strategy with production and distribution priorities
- Own and oversee carrier performance analytics, including production, hit ratios and retention
- Establish and manage dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to provide real-time visibility into carrier performance and initiative outcomes
- Translate complex data and market intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and carrier partners
- Identify portfolio opportunities, gaps, and risks, and drive corrective actions or strategic shifts
- Lead carrier-specific growth initiatives, including product launches, specialty expansions, and targeted go-to-market strategies
- Travel to key markets and carrier partners to strengthen relationships, support execution, and gather on-the-ground insights
- Act as a strategic bridge between carriers, producers, and leadership to ensure alignment and continuous feedback loops
- Influence without authority across cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution of strategic initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management & Insurance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in insurance distribution, carrier management, strategy, analytics, or consulting roles
- Demonstrated experience working directly with insurance carriers and managing or influencing carrier relationships
- Strong analytical expertise with the ability to interpret complex production, financial, and portfolio data
- Experience building and leading performance reporting frameworks (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools)
- Proven ability to translate data into strategic insights and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with internal and external leadership
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, market-driven environment
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions and business units
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly (approximately 40-50%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of wholesale insurance distribution and specialty lines
- Experience leading carrier strategy, portfolio management, or market expansion initiatives
- Background in corporate strategy or analytics within insurance or financial services
- Familiarity with CRM systems, production reporting tools, and BI platforms
