This role drives business production throughout the product development lifecycle with accurate and timely management and execution of product changes in our internal systems, including Duck Creek.
The successful candidate must demonstrate product expertise, including form behavior, rating, filing requirements for admitted products, insurance policy construction, and the AXIS Insurance product suite. This role requires the ability to think critically about insurance product building and product changes, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the product change context, including compliance risks and downstream impact. The successful candidate will be a “multiplier” of his/her team’s capabilities and build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders throughout AXIS, particularly with Underwriting, Actuary, and BTS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in understanding insurance products, product change analysis and management, and requirements drafting.
Key Activities
Reviews and prioritizes product change requests to support underwriting consistency, product efficacy, and compliance
Analyzes requested product changes to identify any issues, think critically about the product change’s context and impact to other products, lead discussions and seek clarifications from appropriate colleagues as needed, provide feedback and recommendations to colleagues on product change strategies and system implementation, and oversee the gathering of accurate requirements for product change system implementation in a timely manner
Ensures product change requirements and system implementation are aligned with business expectations and compliance
Works with BTS to confirm and triage reported defects, including determination of whether the product is working as expected in the system or if the system or product requirements need remediation
Works with teams to align on product structure and form behavior, and to ensure admitted products are implemented in accordance with company filings
Track and report on product workflows, ensure product information is accurately cataloged, and identify opportunities and site enhancements for operational and data efficiency
Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7-10 years of relevant experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
Deep expertise in insurance policy construction, rules and requirements regarding attachment and usage of policy forms and filing and compliance issues that impact admitted and non-admitted insurance products
Extensive knowledge of underwriting, claims and/or insurance product functions
Strong ability to multi-task on projects while being attentive to details and target dates
Ability to collaborate with various team/departments and all levels of the company
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Visio.
Knowledge and prior experience with Duck Creek is strongly preferred.
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $170,000 to $200,000. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
