About the role:
The Legal Department at Great Lakes provides legal advisory and consultancy to the management and all business units to manage legal and regulatory risks and meet Great Lakes’ strategic objectives. The Corporate Office ensures high quality of governance support to the Board of GLLS.
The main responsibility of the role is to enhance excellence and the service quality within Great Lakes Legal department in the UK through support in regulatory and legal advice in insurance law and provide support to the Corporate Office in legal, governance and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to legal and regulatory change tracker with legal updates;
- Assist in corporate governance administration including drafting Board submission;
- Provide support in development, review and negotiating a variety of DUA agreements and other insurance distribution arrangements with third parties and Munich Re Business Units;
- Undertake legal research, developing and maintaining updated legal and contractual documentation and drafting briefing notes and legal research summaries as required; and
- Assist in coordinating external counsel’s reviews and opinions, if necessary.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Legal graduate with satisfactory grades.
• Knowledge of English contract law.
• Fluent business English language
