Communications & Training Specialist – Guidewire
Job Summary
Markel is seeking a Communications & Training Specialist to support organizational change management activities across the Guidewire portfolio for the United States and Bermuda. This role is responsible for developing and delivering communications that drive awareness, readiness, and adoption while partnering with the Senior Training Specialist to develop and deliver role-based training.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Engagement
- Develop and execute communications aligned to the overall change strategy.
- Create audience-specific content including announcements, release updates, FAQs, presentations, newsletters, and leadership messaging.
- Manage communication schedules and coordinate release communications.
- Support employee engagement and feedback activities.
Training & Enablement
- Partner with the Senior Training Specialist to develop training materials, job aids, and learning resources.
- Support training delivery through instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning.
- Coordinate training logistics, tracking, and reporting.
- Support post-training reinforcement and knowledge retention activities.
Adoption & Program Support
- Support readiness and adoption efforts through communications and learning initiatives.
- Assist with post-go-live communications and hypercare activities.
- Maintain communication and training plans, project documentation, and status reporting.
- Partner with business, product, and technology teams to support successful adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in Communications, Training, Change Management, Learning & Development, or Organizational Effectiveness.
- Strong writing, presentation, facilitation, and content development skills.
- Experience supporting technology or business transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
- Insurance industry and/or Guidewire experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leveraging AI tools to create communications, develop training materials, summarize information, automate administrative tasks, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, engaging communications and learning experiences.

Pay information:
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure,demonstratedcompetencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary range for the Comms & Training Specialistis $62,400 - $85,800with 12% incentive.
