Job Description
We are looking for a
Junior Claims Adjuster to join our claims adjusting team in
Ontario, Canada.
In this role, you will work closely with an assigned licensed adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and manage a variety of general insurance claims. You will assist in interpreting policy coverage, analyzing claim information, and negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing regulations and company procedures.

Annual base salary is $50,000 - $70,000 with flexibility based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, collect, and analyze claim information to support claim evaluations and decisions.
- Review insurance policies and assist in determining coverage in accordance with provincial licensing regulations.
- Assist with negotiating and settling claims within licensing restrictions and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documentation, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, policyholders, claimants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Meet employment and professional expectations, including adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with management to maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Insurance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Working towards CIP designation is an asset
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
