Roles and Responsibilities
- You'll leverage your strong network to aviation insurance brokers in Germany (ideally also in Europe) to acquire aviation insurance business;
- You are responsible for underwriting, from the technical analysis to the drafting of insurance conditions, negotiations with the customer and support during the policy period;
- You serve as the primary point of contact for your brokers and articulate our risk appetite in a comprehensive manner;
- You communicate internally with your colleagues and superiors and keep them informed;
- You document the enquiries, quotes and orders in the existing systems;
- You cooperate with other lines of business (cross-selling) and other departments (e.g. claims).
What we're looking for
- You have a degree in engineering or business administration and have gained practical experience in the industry. Alternatively, you have an insurance-related qualification and a good technical understanding
- You are an experienced underwriter / senior underwriter for aviation or an experienced insurance broker in the aviation sector
- You have excellent connections to key brokers or are ready to develop them
- You are fluent in German and English. Other languages would be an advantage.
- You are able to present eloquently in German and English
- You must be able to work independently and diligently and know when and who to ask for advice.
- You have a winning and engaging manner
- You have good computer skills and the ability to understand new systems.
