Job Opportunity
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst in the Customer & Broker Engagement team in our New York Office. This role will help lead customer & broker relationship operations at BHSI. You will have the opportunity to engage with a global suite of executives, product line leaders, underwriters and brokers while leading daily operations from a support and coordination level. The successful candidate will have assigned regional, product line and broker support roles and handle customer & broker related research projects, champion the use of our internal Intelligence system, as well as present and organize internal and external meetings. This role requires someone interested in supporting the daily operations of a global team and flexible enough to take on a new challenge every day. The role is wide-ranging and provides exceptional growth opportunities for motivated candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather and provide intelligence on broker portfolios, key accounts and influencers including client executives, industry specialists, and producers.
- Coordinate with product line teams on target account projects, industry research and multiline opportunity identification.
- Review and monitor broker performance, supporting underwriting teams with relevant broker data (KPI’s, broker portfolio information).
- Drive increased customer & broker data quality at the national and global levels within our custom-built intelligence system.
- Coordinate and prepare briefings for customer & broker conferences and meetings.
- Research prospective customers utilizing internal and external sources.
Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
- 5 years property / casualty insurance experience
- A deep understanding of the insurance industry, including key brokers, competitors, and product lines
- Advanced Excel, Word, and database management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven attention to detail
- Must be proactive and able to work within a team environment
- Ability to understand data systems and workflow process
- Strong presentation and communication skills; both verbal and written

The base salary for this position is from $90,000 to $115,000 plus annual bonus eligibility; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills, experience, and location. We value our teammates- both their capabilities and character- as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
