Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Assess team processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Team Leadership: Work with the Premium Manager to plan, prioritize, and oversee daily workload for the team.
- Communication & Training: Serve as a resource for team members, guiding them through challenges and training them on new processes.
- Operational Support: Assist in processing premium transactions, applying deposits, reviewing disbursements, and initiating check or ACH payments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all carrier requirements are met for accurate premium processing.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Premium Manager regarding team needs, process improvements, and efficiency suggestions.
- Additional Projects: Support various initiatives and other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Work Experience: 2+ years of Accounting or Finance experience (required).
- Education: College degree and 2+ years of equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Leadership Experience: 1–3+ years of team leadership and/or management experience (strongly preferred).
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the insurance industry or within premium accounting (a plus).
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Confidentiality & Integrity: Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional integrity.
