Position Summary:
The Senior Legal Counsel is a pivotal role within the legal department, providing expert legal advice and support across the organization. This position requires a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in corporate law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide accurate and timely legal advice to senior management on various legal topics including contracts, mergers, compliance, labor law, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements to protect the company’s legal and business interests.
• Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Oversee the management of litigation and disputes, including strategy development and liaising with external counsel.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments and provide guidance on risk avoidance strategies.
• Advise on corporate governance matters and help prepare board resolutions and minutes.
• Provide training to company employees on legal issues, compliance, and risk management.
Work Experience and Education:
· Law degree with 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
· License to practice law in at least one state.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred
