The Senior Analyst is a business and IT facing resource responsible for developing Rating Algorithm and Rates into the system, testing them and coordinating implementation of the same to the production Guidewire Policy Center rating system. The candidate validates Pricing requirements and understands impact of the requirement to the rating and underwriting system. The candidate also works on any project or enhancement that is impacting Premiums and on regular maintenance of ate structure. The candidate is subject matter expert on rating systems and is often consulted on resolving premium issues and resolves any production defect arising from algorithm or rate changes. The senior Analyst is a mentor to Junior team members teaching others how to develop/test, troubleshoot rate issues, how to focus on best practices and methodologies. He or she actively collaborates with our Product team, Actuarial pricing team, TS delivery team, Dev-Ops, and Product Owner.
What can you expect in this role?
- Collaboration with business to create requirements when working on a Project and review Actuarial requirements when working on an isolated rate change.
- Perform analysis on the impact of rate change to the Guidewire system and third-party systems.
- Work with Actuarial Pricing to Develop and Test Rate Books (Rate Differentials and Algorithm).
- Collaborative work in a mature Agile delivery team.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for business consultation on the Rating system.
- Deliver complex projects/enhancement and rate changes with accuracy and success from start to finish.
- Actively maintain documentation and best practices.
- Act as a coach for Junior analysts and regularly run peer-review sessions.
- Understand TS Change and Release management practices and coordinate delivery of Rate Changes to production. Lead post-production monitoring to proactively monitor business impacts.
- Support Production by investigating and remediating all Rating defects.
What do you bring to this role?
- University Degree or college diploma in Actuarial Science, business, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of the P&C industry, Personal Insurance Lines of Business, and Rating Algorithms.
- 2-3 years’ experience in production delivery team and/or production support
- Certifications and Accreditations (Guidewire Development, Guidewire business training, Scrum Master, CIP nice to have)
- Experience in developing rate changes, running automated test suite and troubleshooting discrepancies in testing.
- Strong communication to effectively communicate with business and technology stakeholders.
Salary Range: $58,100 - $106,900
