We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to lead the product development and management of data integrations for our proprietary employee benefits data insights and communications platforms, with specific ownership for the needs of our customers in Latin America, Europe, and the UAE. The region is currently serviced by two proprietary digital solutions within our Global Employee Benefits Ecosystem, and both products will fall under the remit of this role.
This role combines technical product management with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, customer advocacy, and relationship management, while balancing global product needs with local country-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and employee benefits or insurance industry knowledge, along with a passion for driving data-driven solutions that enhance customer value.
There will be requirement for some out-of-hours working to accommodate working hours in the Latin American region, although this will be kept to a minimum. There may be a requirement for some travel to countries within the regions for requirements analysis, and to support communication and training campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Latin America, Europe, UAE Product Roadmap Ownership
- Develop and own the product roadmap for regional customers.
- Collaborate with the wider Product team to integrate with the over-arching product roadmap
- Data Integration Strategy
- Work with key business stakeholders to prioritise data integrations in line with customer needs as well as wider business and technical dependencies
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of integrations with external data providers, insurance carriers, brokers, and other key partners.
- Alongside the technical teams, ensure scalable, reliable, and secure data connections and solutions that comply with industry regulations and organisational standards.
- Product Development and Technical Management
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and IT teams to define technical requirements, prioritise features, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Facilitate communication between customers and delivery teams across technical needs, target user experience, and content. This may include production of user flows, business requirements documents, and other assets.
- Act as the subject matter expert on feature requirements, data exchange protocols, APIs, and data security best practices within the insurance/employee benefits ecosystem.
- Customer Advocacy and Prioritisation
- Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring their requirements are prioritised within a larger, multi-customer and global product roadmap.
- Balance competing customer demands and business priorities to deliver impactful solutions that drive value for all stakeholders.
- Stakeholder and Relationship Management
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key delivery stakeholders, including the Technical Delivery Manager, business owners, marketing, and change management teams.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment, smooth delivery of initiatives, and effective communication of product goals and progress.
- Translate sprint plans into project plans for use with business stakeholders outside the agile environment.
- Collaborate with local and global marketing teams to ensure our products are well marketed and marketing assets are kept updated. Ensure that internal communications are provided and planned into the wider global employee benefits communication calendar.
- Market and Industry Insight
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in data integration and the insurance and employee benefits sector.
- Use market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven insights to inform product strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 2+ years of industry-relevant product management experience.
OR
5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data integration, APIs, or related technical products, with significant proven experience within the insurance, employee benefits, or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of data protocols, security standards, and compliance requirements in insurance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
Skills and Competencies
- Business-level Spanish essential.
- Technical Acumen: Proficiency in data integration technologies, API management, and cloud-based data platforms.
- User Experience knowledge and understanding at a level required to communicate effectively between customers and UX designers
- Customer Focus and Advocacy: A strong commitment to understanding and prioritising customer needs within a complex, multi-stakeholder and global product roadmap.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and develop strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business value.
- Analytical Thinking: Data-driven decision-making with an emphasis on performance metrics and continuous improvement.
